1. About PollyTap

PollyTap is an iPhone app from AGM Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It accepts a screenshot from a Shortcut you run, or an image you select, recognizes visible text, and shows a translated image and readable text. It does not continuously observe other apps, take hidden screenshots, or control their interfaces.

The App uses Apple Vision and Translation features. Language support, downloads, and the quality of results depend on the device, iOS, Apple resources, and the image you provide.

2. Using the app

You may use the App on devices you own or control for lawful purposes. You are responsible for choosing what to capture and for respecting the rights, rules, and privacy of other people, apps, and services. Do not use the App to bypass access controls or to collect material you are not allowed to capture.

A Shortcut acts only when you run it and grant any permissions iOS requests. You can remove the Shortcut at any time in Apple's Shortcuts app. Photos, Files, copied text, and exported images are also governed by the apps and destinations you choose.

3. Your images and translations

You retain whatever rights you already have in an image you provide. Sending it to PollyTap does not transfer ownership to AGM Apps. You give the App permission to process that image on your device so it can recognize and translate text for you.

Some screens contain content owned by other people or services. A translation does not give you permission to republish their original content. If you share a result, you are responsible for having the rights to do so.

4. Accuracy and appropriate use

Optical text recognition can miss, misread, or reorder words, especially on small, shaded, moving, or low-contrast screens. Language detection and translation can also be wrong or incomplete. An image overlay may have less room than the original text; use the full-text view and compare with the source when the exact words matter.

Do not rely on the App as the sole source for medical, legal, financial, safety, emergency, or other consequential decisions. Have a qualified person check important translations.

5. Languages and internet access

You may need an internet connection to download Apple's translation languages before using a particular pair. After the required resources are installed, translation may work offline. Apple can change the supported languages, model availability, download prompts, or system behavior. AGM Apps does not control those resources or your network connection.

6. Free version and advertising

The development app has no production ad IDs or paid features. A future free release is planned to show banners and may show interstitial ads at suitable breaks. The proposed providers are Google AdMob, Unity Ads, ironSource, and Liftoff, with AdMob as a fallback. The final release will identify its active providers and required privacy choices before advertising is enabled.

Ads may link to third-party products or sites. We are not responsible for those products, sites, or their claims. Our Privacy Policy explains the current test setup and proposed ad data handling.

7. Ownership and feedback

AGM Apps and its licensors own the App, its code, interface, and branding, apart from your content and third-party material. We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the App as permitted by these terms and applicable Apple rules. You may not sell, redistribute, or reverse engineer it except where the law permits.

If you send a suggestion, we may use it to improve the App without payment to you. Please do not include confidential information in feedback unless you want us to review it for support.

8. Apple and third-party services

The App depends on iOS, Shortcuts, Vision, and Apple's Translation framework. Your use of Apple services is also subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. If the App is released through the App Store, its license will follow the Apple Standard EULA unless a custom license is supplied with the release.

These draft terms are between you and AGM Apps, not Apple. AGM Apps is responsible for the App and its support; Apple is not required to provide support for it. Third-party ad providers are responsible for their own advertisements and services.

9. Availability and changes

The App is in development. Features, supported devices, languages, and advertising may change before release. We may update the App or stop offering a feature. When final terms are published, we will add an effective date and explain material changes as required by law.

You can stop using the App and remove it from your iPhone at any time. Deleting the App does not remove copies you placed in Photos, Files, Shortcuts, or another destination.

10. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that every word will be found or translated correctly, that it will work with every screen, or that it will always be available. We do not exclude any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, AGM Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the App, including losses caused by an inaccurate or missing translation. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Law, accessibility, and contact

These terms are governed by Florida law, except where mandatory law in your home jurisdiction gives you greater protection. Before bringing a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. This draft does not require arbitration or waive any right to bring a class claim.
